June 23 2025 The Kansas City Hormigas defeated the Trinidad Triggers 9-2 after scoring in four consecutive innings from the third through the seventh. Kansas City collected 18 hits and held Trinidad to four hits in the victory.
Reed Carter went 3-for-5 with a run and two RBI, while Nicholas Chaves also had three hits and drove in a run. David Hendrick added two hits and two RBI, and Devin Radar delivered a three-run home run. Antuan Franco also homered and finished with an RBI. Kansas City scored twice in the third, added three runs in the fifth, three in the sixth and one in the seventh before Trinidad scored twice in the eighth.
Colin Sepulveda earned the win with a complete-game performance, allowing four hits and two runs, one earned, while striking out six and walking six. Christian Diaz took the loss for Trinidad after allowing 14 hits and eight earned runs in 5.2 innings with four strikeouts and two walks. Derek Gallegos pitched the final 2.1 innings for the Triggers.
